Experience the royal ship Kronan through the exhibition of Kronan, Superkronan for families with children and the interactive family tour Kliv ombord (Step on board). Kronan was the super-ship of the Era of Great Power and holds a number of unofficial world records, for example the largest marin gold- and silver treasure, the longest ongoing underwater archeology excavation, the largest group find of bronze cannons and the largest ship built during the Era of Great Power.
The Exhibition Lasse-Maja och cirkusmysteriet (Lasse-Maja and the Circus Mystery) is shown at the museum this summer! Solve the difficult mystery by figuring out and piecing together different kind of leads. Play and pretend that you are at the circus, sell tickets, do tricks and dress out! And when you're done exploring in the circus area, keep playing in Jenny Nyströms värld (The World of Jenny Nyström) – a family exhibition inspired by the Swedish summer located just beside the circus exhibition.
Sandby borg, the prehistoric ring fort located on the south-eastern coast of Öland, now excavated by the museums archeologists. What really happened? Take part of the 1 500 year old murder mystery through our exhibition and our guided tours at the museum.
The museum has both a restaurant and a shop. The restaurant offers well-prepared lunch meals from Monday to Friday, lighter dishes like food pies and salads durung the weekends, children's meny and a wide range of delicious, home-made pastries. In the museum shop you will find an amazing range of souvenirs and gifts. Welcome!
